Device Status

The Device Status window can be found in the Monitoring menu by clicking the Device Status link. This
window shows the status of the physical attributes of the switch, including power sources and fans.
The following fields may be viewed in this window:
Parameter
ID
Internal Power
External Power
Side Fan
Back Fan
Box ID can be assigned automatically (Auto), or can be assigned statically.
Default is Auto.
Displays the model name of the corresponding switch in a stack.
Denotes whether a switch does or does not exist in a stack.
The Start Port refers to the first port of a switch within a switch stack and
denotes the consecutive port count of the switch stack.
Displays the priority ID of the Switch. The lower the number, the higher the
priority. The box (switch) with the lowest priority number in the stack is the
Master switch.
Shows the PROM in use for the Switch. This may be different from the
values shown in the illustration.
Shows the firmware version in use for the Switch. This may be different from
the values shown in the illustrations.
Shows the hardware version in use for the Switch. This may be different
from the values shown in the illustration.

Description
The Box ID of the switch in the switch stack.
A read only field denoting the current status of the internal power supply.
Active will suggest the mechanism is functioning correctly while Fail will
show the mechanism is not functioning correctly.
A read only field denoting the current status of the external power supply.
Active will suggest the mechanism is functioning correctly while Fail will
show the mechanism is not functioning correctly.
A read only field denoting if the side fan of the switch is functioning properly
or not.
A read only field denoting if the back fan of the switch is functioning properly
or not.
