3. Install hard drives: Separately purchased SAS or SATA-II hard
drives must be individually installed into the drive trays. (See
Section 2.7)
4. Install drive trays: After the hard drives have been secured in
the drive trays, the drive trays must be installed into the
enclosure itself. (See Section 2.8)
5. Cable connection: Use the power cords that came with the
subsystem to connect the subsystem to the main power source.
Use self-purchased RJ-45 cables (see Section 4.1 for more
details) to connect host ports to the network or external devices.
6. Power on: Once the components have been properly installed
and all cables are properly connected, you can power on the
subsystem and configure the RAID array. (See Section 4.4)

Figure 2-2 shows a flowchart of the installation procedure. As you
complete each step, check off the "Done" box on the right. Please
use this flowchart in conjunction with the instructions that follow.

Use the Unpacking Checklist in your package to verify package
contents. Carefully check the items contained in each box before
proceeding with installation.
