TIRE INSPECTION

Tires must be maintained properly to ensure road holding and stability. Check the following areas:
Inflation: Ensure tires are inflated to the pressure indicated on the tire sidewalls. It is better to use a tire gauge
and a hand pump than a service station pump.
CAUTION:
If inflating tires with a service station pump, take
care that sudden over inflation does not cause tire to blow out.
Bead Seating: When inflating or refitting tire, make sure that the bead is properly seated in the rim.
Tread: Check that the tread shows no signs of excessive wear or flat spots, and that there are no cuts or other
damage.
CAUTION:
Excessively worn or damaged tires should be replaced.
Valves: Make sure valve caps are fitted and that valves are free from dirt. A slow leak caused by the entry of the
dirt can lead to a flat tire, and possibly a dangerous situation.
RECOMMENDED TIRE PRESSURES:
The recommended pressure molded on the sidewall of your bicycle tires should match the following chart.
