Level 6 software allows for the transfer and
receipt of data from and to the teleprinter
through a series of Input/Output programming
OPERATOR MAINTENANCE
Operator maintenance includes such preven ­
tive maintenance as normal checking. cleaning,
operating considerations, etc., performed periodi­
cally on a routine scheduled basis. The purpose of
the maintenance is to keep the teleprinter in the
best of operating condition.
The following list is a general guide to opera ­
tor maintenance:
o Always plug the device into a 3-wire
grounded outlet.
o Ensure that all covers are secured and
closed during operation.
o Never operate the teleprinter without
paper.
o Avoid leaning or placing objects on any
part of the teleprinter.
