CARD READER DEVICES
This section describes the functions, character
istics, operating, and maintenance procedures for
the CRU9l0l, 9102, 9103, and 9104 Card
Readers (see Figure 3-1). The devices are se1f
contained tabletop units. utilizing a photoelectric
system for data sensing. They have the capability
of reading standard 80-column Hollerith or binary
punched cards and 40-or 80-co1umn mark sense
cards at the maximum rate of 300 or 500 cards
per minute. With Option CRF910 1, the card
readers have the added capability of reading
51-column cards. The card readers interface with
