Turning the Printer On and Off

This printer has two power switches. The main power switch located behind the front door controls the
main power to the printer. The secondary power switch on the top of the printer controls power to the
printer electronic components, and initiates a software-controlled shutdown when turned off. Using the
secondary power switch to turn on and off the printer is the preferred method. To operate the printer,
turn on both switches. First turn on the main power switch, then turn on the secondary power switch.
CAUTION:
Do not plug or unplug the power cord while the power switch is in the On position.
To turn on the printer:
1.
Open the front door.
2.
Turn on the main power switch.
