Setting the CMOS Security Screen

The Security Screen (Figure 3-11) controls access to the computer. The security screen
allows for settings of two passwords. The Administrative Password allows access to the
system and Setup. The User Password will allow access to the system, but not to all
Setup features.

User Password is
Reports if there is a User password set. There are no options.
Administrative Password is
Reports if there is an Administrative password set. There are no options.
Set User Password
Sets the User password. The password can be up to seven alphanumeric charac-
ters.
Set Administrative Password
Sets the Administrative password. The password can be up to seven alphanumeric
characters.
