AINTENANCE

9.1 General Maintenance

The eMG80 is a highly reliable communications system and requires no specific general
maintenance.

9.2 PSU Fuse Replacement

The PSU is located at the left in the KSU and is pre-installed in the iPECS eMG80 KSU. The
PSU provides three DC voltage power sources to MBU through the 7-pin connector, CN7.
The fuse, which is a rated as 2A @ 250 Volts is located on the lower left of the PSU board.
To replace the fuse, refer to the figure below and perform the following steps,
1. Turn OFF the power to the KSU and the EKSU and extract the Power cord Plug.
2. Remove the KSU cover, refer to section 4.3.
3. Remove the 3 screws holding the PSU cover and one screw inside in place.
4. Lift and remove the PSU cover.
5. Remove the fuse from the fuse clips.
6. Install the replacement fuse. The replacement fuse must be of the same size and
rating as the original, 5mm by 20 mm rated at 2A @ 250 Volts.
7. Replace the PSU cover, insert and tighten the four screws.
