4.11 Embedded 1 Gb Ethernet controller

The IBM NeXtScale nx360 M4 includes an embedded 1 Gb Ethernet controller
that is built into the system board. It offers 2-Gb Ethernet ports with the following
features:
Intel I350 Gb Ethernet controller
IEEE 802.3 Ethernet interface for 1000BASE-T, 100BASE-TX, and 10BASE-T
applications (802.3, 802.3u, and 802.3ab)
IPv6 Offloads: Checksum and LSO
Wake on LAN support
Virtualization: I/OAT, VMDq (eight queues per port), and SR-IOV (PCI SIG
compliant)
16 TX and 16 RX queues per port
Supports MSI-X
Supports SGMII, SCTP, NC-SI
Supports IEEE 1588 (TimeSynch) per packet
Supports Energy Efficient Ethernet
Figure 4-15 shows the location of the two Ethernet ports and the dedicated IMM2
management port.
