TROUBLE SHOOTING
PROCEDURE
CHECK
1. Fuse
2. Battery
3. Charging voltage
4. Charging coil resistance
5. Wiring system (entire charging system)
1. FUSE
Refer to "FUSE INSPECTION SECTION" in
Chapter 3, Page no 3-30
2. BATTERY
• Check the Battery condition.
Refer to "BATTERY INSPECTION" section
in Chapter 3, Page no 3-28
Specific Gravity : 1.230 ± 0.005 at 20ºC
3. CHARGING VOLTAGE
• Refer to Rectifier cum Regulator unit in-
spection method in the Ignition System
section in this Chapter, Page no 7-8
4. CHARGING COIL RESISTANCE.
• Refer to Charging coil resistance checking
method in the Ignition System section in
this Chapter, Page no 7-7
5. WIRING CONNECTION
• Check entire Charging system for poor
connections.
Refer to circuit diagram Section Page no 7-4

CHARGING SYSTEM

IF THE BATTERY IS NOT CHARGED
Note :
Remove the following parts before trouble shoot-
ing.
1) Side covers (LH )

• Use Service Instruments as specified.
Engine Tachometer.
Digital Multimeter
Replace the Fuse
• Top up with distilled water
• Clean the Battery terminals
• Recharge or Replace the Battery
The Charging circuit is OK
Replace the Charging Coil
Repair or Replace the Wiring Harness
