1.2 Installation

The franking machine should be installed on a flat horizontal
surface.
Allow sufficient free space as follows:
- above the machine to enable the opening of the covers,
- at the rear for the machine cooling.
With the O/I switch in the "O" (OFF) position, connect the power
cord to the rear of the machine and to an electrical outlet.
Connect the telephone link cable to the modem socket at the rear
of the machine to a telephone connector, for Server recrediting
system connection.
Assemble the feed platform with the franking machine.

1.2.1 Preparation of the franking machine

For security purposes, please ensure that all the items are
correctly assembled prior to switching on the configura-
tion.

1.2.2 Installation with the feed platform

Prior to moving the whole machine, you must separate
the franking machine from the feed platform.
