Two
The "File" Options
Click and hold on the Pile menu on the left side of the menu
bar. You'll be presented with the following options:
New (O-N)
The New command creates an edit window at the bottom
part of the screen with the name Untitled# (where # is an
appended, sequential number) New windows are a good
scratchpad on which to combine different MIDI tracks and
files

Note:
When you select record, if a window is not
open, the program automatically opens a new
window and begins recording on track 1.
Open (0-0)
The
Open
command allows you to load a prerecorded MIDI
file stored on
disk.
The Open option lets you open files that
have been saved as standard MIDI
files.
Standard MIDI files
contain information pertinent to the file such as tempo, track
separation and track name
.
If
Audio Animator encounters more than eight tracks, you
will see a dialog box stating that there are more than eight
tracks and AA is cutting out any tracks past the
eighth.
Close (O-W)
Close a file with this command or by clicking on the square in
the upper left corner of the edit window.
If
you have made changes to the file without saving them, a
dialog box will appear asking if you want to save changes to
this file before
closing.

Click No to keep the file as it was when loaded or as
it was when it was last
saved.

Click Yes to save the file in its current
state.
D
Click Cancel to stop the Close and return you to the
program with the file still loaded.
