2.3 The Router's Front Panel
On the router's front panel, there are LEDs that inform you of the router's current
status (see Figure 2-2). Numbers 1–5 in Figure 2-2 correspond to numbers 1–5 in
Table 2-2.

The Reset button has a dual function.
1. If problems occur with your router, press the
router's Reset button with a pencil tip for less
than four seconds. The router will reboot itself,
keeping your original configuration.
2. If problems persist, you experience extreme
problems, or you forgot your password, press
the Reset button for longer than four seconds.
The router will reset itself to factory-default
settings.
