5 Remove the following covers.

Remove CARRIAGE COVER.

CARRIAGE to the left end.
Be careful that the head does not strike the
media or media clamp.
Disconnect the INK TUBEs from the INK DAMPERs

and put the scotch tape at the tip of the ink tubes to
prevent the ink from spilling out.
Disconnect the INK TUBEs from the JOINTs, and put

the scotch tape at the tip of the ink tubes to prevent the
ink from coming out.
It is not necessary to replace the INK TUBEs of
the other side of the JOINTs (between Joint and
I/C Holder.
Then, move the HEAD
