The “SP-300 User's Manual” describes SOL INK cleaning cartridges, but these cannot be used by the SP-300S (subli- mation-ink model). 3. Assembling and Installing The procedures for assembling and installing this machine differ in some ways from those for the SP-300. 3. Assembling and Installing Step 7: Fill Ink This is different from the procedure in the “SP-300 User's Manual”. Be sure to carry out this operation by following the procedure below. When check the voltage settings are finished, SELECT INK TYPE the screen shown in the figure appears.

4. Installing the Windows Driver Perform installation using the "SP-300 Sublimation CD-ROM". To install, follow the procedure in the “SP-300 Win- dows Driver Guide”. When installing, give attention to the following points. • Use the "SP-300 Sublimation CD-ROM". • Wherever "SP-300" appears in the manual, read "SP-300S". For all model names, that you are asked to select, choose "SP-300S".
5. Roland COLORIP Settings Installing and Setting Up the Dedicated "Image Configuration" Data You install and set up Roland COLORIP, then install the dedicated settings file for this machine. This is necessary for performing output on the machine. Be sure to install it.
Select the check box, then click [Install Checked Items]. This completes installation of the dedicated Image configuration data. Click [OK]. 6. Transfer Conditions Transferable Materials Use commercially available materials designated as usable for sublimation transfer. The following items cannot be used for transfer. • 100% cotton fabric • Materials not processed for sublimation-transfer use Successful transfer is affected by a wide variety of factors, including the type of material and the pressing method. Before use, be sure to carry out a test transfer ahead of time to make sure that satisfactory quality can be obtained.
6. Transfer Conditions Transfer Conditions The pressing time, temperature, and pressure vary according to the transfer material and the press that you're using. Use the following chart as a guide when you perform transfer. For detailed information, refer to the documentation for the press and the transfer material.
Preparing the Data Prepare mirror-image data for transfer use. You can use Roland COLORIP to make a mirror image of the original. Click the [Size] tab, then select the [Mirror] check box. The data for the original image is reversed.
