Manual SSID Setup

Press the (System) button.

Select Tools tab.

Select Admin Settings.

Select Network.

Select Wireless.

Select Wireless Setup Wizard.

Select the Manual SSID Setup check box, and then select Next.

Enter the SSID, and then select Next.

Select the network mode from Infrastructure or Ad-hoc depending on your environment, and then select
Next.
When you select Infrastructure, proceed to step 10.
When you select Ad-hoc, proceed to step 11.

Select the encryption method from Mixed mode PSK, WPA-PSK-TKIP, WPA2-PSK-AES, or WEP.
IMPORTANT:
• Be sure to use one of the supported encryption methods to protect your network traffic.
To use Mixed mode PSK, WPA-PSK-TKIP, or WPA2-PSK-AES encryption:
Select the desired encryption method.

Select the Enter Password text box, and then enter the pass phrase.

Select OK.

To use WEP encryption:
Select WEP.

Select the Enter WEP Key text box, and then enter the WEP key.

Select Transmit Key, and then select the desired transmit key from Auto or WEP Key 1 to WEP Key 4.

Select OK twice.

The Restart System message appears.
Proceed to step 12.

Select WEP for encryption method.
IMPORTANT:
• Be sure to use one of the supported encryption methods to protect your network traffic.

Select the Enter WEP Key text box, and then enter the WEP key.

Select OK.

Select Transmit Key, and then select the desired transmit key from WEP Key 1 to WEP Key 4.

Select OK.
The Restart System message appears.

Turn off the printer, and turn it on again to apply the settings.
Wireless settings are correctly configured.
IMPORTANT:
• If the optional hard disk unit is not installed on your printer, note that the data in the memory are cleared when the printer
is turned off.
