ELECTRICAL DIAGNOSTICS (AC)
PROBLEM
No AC power
Nusiance Tripping- Main ELCI
No power to AC outlets and/or
equipment
Main ship's breaker continues to trip Faully main breaker
Inadequate AC power with genset
running
POSSIBLE CAUSE
Main shore power breakers tripped
or in "off " position
Dock power in "off " position
Shore power cord not connected
Faulty connection
Earlier yachts-Triple breaker tripped
at output of isolation transformer
Later yachts-ELCI breaker tripped
Component causing excessive draw
Main AC ship's panel breakers tripped
or in "off " position
Shore power cord not connected
GFCI tripped
Electrical demand greater than elec-
trical output

Troubleshooting

POSSIBLE FIX
Energize shore power inlet breakers
Activate dockside power
Plug in shore power cord; twist to
lock
Repair as needed
Repair as needed. Reset breakers
Repair as needed. Reset breaker.
Repair/Replace part. Reset ELCI
Reset or activate main breakers
Plug in shore power cord
Find cause of trip. Reset GFIC
Contact yacht authorized dealer
Turn off appropriate equipment
breakers to lessen load
