Instrumentation and Controls
Try moving the transmitter to
different locations within the
vehicle. If this does not help,
place the transmitter in the
transmitter pocket in the center
console storage area with the
buttons facing to the front of
the vehicle and then start the
engine.

DETECTED RESTART
ALLOWED
Note: This message may not be
available on all vehicles.
Appears when you turn off the
engine and the vehicle does
not detect a keyless access
transmitter in the vehicle.
The vehicle may be stopped
near a strong radio antenna
that is interfering with the
keyless access system.

If you have the keyless access
transmitter with you, exit the
vehicle and lock the doors.
The engine will not restart if
you do not have the keyless
access transmitter with you and
one of the following events has
occurred:
- 5 minutes have passed
- the theft deterrent system is
armed
See "Starting Instructions" in
Section 3 for more information.
• ENGINE HOT A/C OFF (engine
hot air conditioning off)
Appears when the coolant
temperature is over normal
operating temperature.
To avoid added strain on a hot
engine, the air conditioning
compressor is automatically
turned off.
When the coolant temperature
returns to normal, air
conditioning compressor
operation will resume.
You may continue to drive the
vehicle.
If this message continues to
appear, have the system
repaired as soon as possible to
avoid engine damage.
