Starting and Operating Instructions
The power door lock switch will
not work to unlock the vehicle
when the alarm is set.
The power sounder has an
internal battery. If the vehicle
loses battery power when the
theft deterrent system is armed,
the power sounder will activate
automatically.

To test the system:
1. Make sure that the trunk and
the hood are closed.
2. Lower the window and open
the driver's door.
3. Lock the doors using the
power door lock switch.
4. Close the door and wait about
30 seconds until the Security
System Light turns off.
5. Then, reach through the open
window and unlock the door
using the manual lock.
6. Open the door. The alarm
should go off.
To turn the alarm off, start the
engine.
If the headlights do not flash, see
your dealer for service.
INTRUSION SENSOR
The vehicle's intrusion sensor,
located in the front overhead
console, monitors the vehicle
interior and provides an alarm
signal to the theft deterrent
module in the event of an
unauthorized entry into the
vehicle's interior.
When the theft deterrent system is
armed, any movement inside the
vehicle will sound the alarm.
Do not allow passengers or pets to
remain in the vehicle when the
intrusion sensor is activated.
