Starting and Operating Instructions
Passive functions operate when
the transmitter is within 1 meter
(3 ft) of the door or trunk.
The following passive functions are
also available when the transmitter
is within range:
• The front door will unlock
automatically when you pull
the door handle.
• Pull the rear door handle once
to unlock the door. Pull the
handle again to open the door.
• Press the trunk release button
located on the rear of the trunk
lid, above the license plate, to
open the trunk.

To enable or disable this feature,
see "Feature Customization" under
"Driver Information Center" in
Section 1.
You can also use the Driver
Information Center to program
the horn to sound as a reminder
when you have left the keyless
access transmitter in the vehicle.
See "ELECTRONIC KEY
REMINDER under "Driver
Information Center" in Section 1.
The keyless access transmitter also
allows you to activate a vehicle
locator, or to sound the vehicle's
alarm from a distance.
Operating the keyless access
system may interact with the
vehicle's theft deterrent system.
See "Theft Deterrent System"
earlier in this section for more
information.
The numbers on the transmitters
correspond to memory buttons 1
and 2.
The transmitter can be used to
recall memory settings for up to
two drivers. See "Memory Feature"
in Section 1.
Modifications made to this
system by anyone other than an
authorized service facility may void
authorization to use the system.
