Service and Maintenance
CAUTION
Under some conditions the
ethylene glycol in engine
coolant is combustible. To
avoid being burned, do not
spill coolant on the exhaust
system or on hot engine parts.
If you have any doubt, have
this operation performed by a
qualified technician.
4. Reinstall the cap.
Be sure the cap is hand tight-
ened and fully seated.
. . . 406
If the coolant is not at the proper
level when the system cools down
again, see your dealer.
NOTICE
The intercooler system cap is a
pressure-type cap and must
be tightly installed to prevent
coolant loss and possible
engine damage from overheat-
ing. Be sure the cap is hand
tightened and fully seated.
Automatic Transmission
Fluid (If equipped)
It is not necessary to check the
transmission fluid in your vehicle.
A leak is the only reason for fluid
loss. If there is a leak, have the
vehicle serviced as soon as
possible.
There is a specific procedure for
checking and changing the

automatic transmission fluid.

As it is difficult to perform the
procedure yourself, have the fluid
level checked or changed by your
dealer or service center.
Change the fluid at the intervals
recommended in your
Maintenance Schedule.
