an automatic transmission,
observe the following precau-
tions to ensure proper and safe
operation. Otherwise, the vehi-
cle may move suddenly and/or
cause an accident.

• Be sure the shift lever is in
P (Park) and the parking
brake is firmly applied when
you leave your vehicle.
• Keep your foot firmly on the
brake pedal and do not race
the engine when shifting out
of P (Park) or N (Neutral).
• Do not shift into D (Drive) or
R (Reverse) when the engine
is racing.
• Do not shift into P (Park)
while the vehicle is moving.
