Instrumentation and Controls
If you use your CTS-V model for
competitive driving, the brake
fluid should be replaced with a
high-performance brake fluid that
has a dry boiling point greater
than 279°C (534°F).
Do not use silicone or DOT-5 brake
fluids.
When using high-performance
brake fluid, follow the brake fluid
service recommendations outlined
by the fluid manufacturer.

■ STABILITRAK
®
SYSTEM
This system selectively applies
any one of the brakes to help
maintain directional control in
difficult driving conditions.
When the system senses that there
is a discrepancy between the
intended path and the direction
the vehicle is travelling, it
selectively applies the brakes to
help steer the vehicle.
The system comes on
automatically when you start the
engine.
When the system is activated, the
®
Stabilitrak
/Traction Control
System Light flashes.
Continue to steer in the direction
you want to go
You may feel or hear the system
working, but this is normal.
You should always leave the
system on. However you can turn
Stabilitrak off with the traction and
stability control button.
