Starting and Operating Instructions
TOWING YOUR VEHICLE WITH
TWO WHEELS ON THE GROUND
AND TWO WHEELS UP ON A
DOLLY
Rear-Wheel Drive Vehicles
The vehicle can be towed with the
rear wheels secured on a towing
dolly.
Use the following procedure:
1. Attach the dolly to the tow
vehicle.
Follow the manufacturer's
instructions.
2. Drive the rear wheels onto the
dolly.
3. Set the parking brake firmly.
4. Shift an automatic
transmission into P (Park).
Shift a manual transmission
into 1 (First Gear).

5. Secure the vehicle to the
towing dolly.
Follow the manufacturer's
instructions.
6. Have the steering wheel
clamped in a straight-ahead
position. Use a clamping
device designed for towing
service.
7. Turn off the ignition.
If your vehicle is equipped with
a removable ignition key,
remove the key from the
ignition.
NOTICE
If the doors are locked with the
security system armed, the
alarm will activate when the
vehicle is inclined for towing.
TOWING YOUR VEHICLE ON A
PLATFORM TRAILER
All-Wheel Drive Vehicles
If your vehicle has all-wheel drive,
it can only be towed with all four
wheels off the ground.
Tow the vehicle on a platform
trailer.
NOTICE
Towing an all-wheel drive
vehicle with any of its wheels on
the ground will damage
drivetrain components.
Do not tow your all-wheel drive
vehicle with any of its wheels on
the ground.
