Programming Function
Keys
The remote control comes with 8 function keys ([F1]
to [F8]) that can be programmed with up to 16
alphanumerical characters.
The setting procedure of the function keys is similar to
that of the other modes of the remote control, except
for a selection menu allowing you to choose the
function key ([F1] to [F8]) that you want to program.
Follow the procedure below to program the function
keys.

Press and hold the [3] key, and turn on the UPA-
P100MD. The following screen appears.

Using the [T] or [t] keys, move the cursor to
the function key where you want to preset a name.

Press the [ENT] key to select the function key.
Three lines of the 165 programmable characters
appear at the top of the 4-line display.

Use the arrow keys to move the cursor to the first
character that you want to use. Press [ENT]. The
blinking character appears at the end of the string
at the bottom of the display. Repeat this step as
necessary.
Note
The programmable string can be of a maximum
length of 16 alphanumerical characters, including
hyphens. If you want to erase all the characters
input so far, press the [0] key.

Press the [•] key to return to the previous screen.
This has the effect of saving the input string in the
remote control memory.

Select another function key and repeat steps 3 to 5.
If you wish to finish, select [End] and press the
[ENT] key to exit programming mode.
