3. The location of front a nd rear jack ing
points is indicated by notches on the
bottom ed ge of the vehicle, under the
doors.
4. Before p ositioning the jack, set it to the
necessary heig ht b y rotating the eye by
hand.
Position jac k at the front or rear jacking
point located nea rest to the wheel
concerned so that the ja ck claw spa ns
the v ertical base. Mak e sure it is properly
positioned.
The jack b ase must be on the ground
directly b elow the jacking point in a
manner that prevents it from slipping .

5. Attach wrench to eye of threaded rod
and turn crank to raise vehicle.
If this is not the c ase, carefully low er the
vehicle immediately and reposition the
jack.
Raise the vehicle until the wheel is just
clea r of the ground.
6. Unscrew wheel nuts completely by
turning a nti-clockwise and wipe clea n
with a c loth. Then apply a light coating
of grea se to the cone of each wheel
nut. Do not grease the thread s.
Put wheel nuts somewhere w here the
threads will not be soiled.
