Drivin g and operatio n
Hand brak e
Always apply ha nd brake firmly . O n slopes,
apply the hand brake as firm ly as possible.
The m echanical hand b ra ke a cts on the
brakes on the rea r wheels. It engag es
automatically when applied.
To release the hand b ra ke, press and hold
the b utton, pull the lever up slightly and
lower lever while holding the button in.
To red uce the op erating forces of the
hand brake, d epress the foot brak e at the
same time.
Control i nd icator 4 for b rake system
Illum inates when ignition is switched on.
Extinguishes after eng ine is started.
Illum inates if hand brak e is applied and/or
fluid level for brake hydraulics is too low.

Warning
If it illuminates when the hand brak e is
not applied: stop vehic le, i nterrupt y our
journey im mediately.
C heck bra ke fluid level and top-up if
necessary before consulting a w ork shop.
Hav e cause of brak e fluid loss rem edied.
If the control indicator stays lit, the brakes
do not operate a s normal or leaks are
found in the brake sy stem, do not attem pt
to drive the vehicle. Have the vehic le towed
to a work shop for insp ection and repair.
If the control indicator d oes not illuminate
when the ignition is switched on or when
the ha nd brake is applied (with ignition
on), stop and consult a workshop.
