Attach the p edal cra nk by rotating the
attachment screw on the p edal crank
mount.
Plac e the wheel recesses such that the
bicycle is more or less horizontal. Here, the
distance betw een the pedals and the
tailg ate should b e at least 5 cm . S etting the
wheel recesses - see pa ge 159.
Both b icycle tyres must be in the wheel
recesses. I n order to prevent da mage,
neither the pedal bearing housing on the
bicycle nor the pedal crank should be
touching the pedal crank recess.
Driving and o peration
Align the bicycle in the longitudina l
direction of the vehicle:
S lightly loosen the pedal bearing mount -
see page 158, Fig. 14629 S .
Place the b ic ycle up right using the rotary
lever on the ped al crank recess -
see page 158, Fig. 14629 S or page 159,
Fig. 14630 S.
If the two bicyc les obstruct one another,
the relativ e positions of the bicy cles c an be
ada pted by adjusting the wheel recesses
and the rotary lever on the ped al crank
recess until the bicycles no longer touch
one another. Make sure there is sufficient
clearance from the vehic le.
