Mobile telephones and radio
equipment (CB) 3
The O pel installation instructions and the
opera ting guid elines provided by the
telephone manufa cturer m ust be observed
when fitting and operating a m ob ile
telephone. Failure to d o so could invalida te
the vehicle's operating perm it (EU Directiv e
95/54/EG).
Requirements to ensure trouble-free
opera tion:
z Professionally installed exterior antenna,
to ob ta in the max imum range possible
z Maximum transmission power 10 W.
z Installation of the telephone in a suitab le
spot (front centre console).

Obtain ad vice on p redetermined
installation loc ations for the external
antenna and equipment holder and way s
of using dev ices w ith transmission power of
more than 10 Wa tts. We recom mend that
you c onsult y our O pel Service Partner, who
will have brackets a nd various installation
kits and install them in accordance with
regulations.
Operation of a handsfree attachment w ith
no outside a ntenna , using the mobile
telep hone standards GS M 900/1800/1900
and UMTS, may take place only if the
maximum transmission power of the
mobile telephone does not ex ceed 2 W, in
the case of GSM 900, and otherwise 1 W.
The opera ting instruc tions of the
manufac turer of the telephone and
ha ndsfree attachment must be noted in all
cases.
For rea sons of safety , we recomm end that
you do not use the p hone while driving.
Even use of a handsfree set can be a
distraction while driving. Be sure to observe
any country -specific reg ulations.

Warnin g
When used in the v ehicle interior, mobile
telephones a nd radio eq uipm ent (CB)
with integrated antenna may cause
malfunctions in the vehicle electronics.
Mobile telephones and rad io equipment
(CB) should only be used with an antenna
fitted on the vehicle ex terior.

The sy stems are operated as described in
the instruction m anuals supplied.
The na vigation sy stem is supp lied with a
C D or DVD detailing the loc al territory.
For additional countries/territories,
sepa ra te C D's are ava ila ble from your O pel
S ervice Partner.
