To activate
Press the e button to turn cruise control
on. Accelerate to the desired speed, press
d
the button and release it; the current
speed is stored and m aintained. The
accelerator pedal can be released after
setting cruise control speed .
Vehicle speed can be increased
tem porarily for overtak ing purp oses,
by depressing the accelerator ped al.
When the accelerator pedal is released, the
previously stored speed is resum ed.
Increase speed
With cruise control active, press and hold
the c button and relea se it when the
desired vehicle sp eed is reached.
To increase the speed in steps of
2 km/h (1.2 mph), ta p the c
and release it.
When the c button is released, the
current speed is stored and maintained .
Alterna tiv ely, use the accelerator peda l to
increase v ehicle speed, press the
button and release it, then release the
accelerator ped al.

When the button and the a ccelerator
pedal are released , the current speed is
stored and maintained .
Decrease speed
With cruise control active, press and hold
d
the button and relea se it when the
desired vehicle sp eed is reached.
To decrease the speed in steps of
2 km/h (1.2 mph), ta p the d
and release it.
When the d button is released, the
current speed is stored and maintained .
To deactivate
S witc h off cruise control when not needed,
to av oid accidental activation.
Press e button to turn cruise control off.
C ontrol indicator m ex tinguishes and the
button
vehicle slowly d ecelerates. To continue
driving, depress the accelerator pedal in
the usual manner.
For safety reasons, cruise control
deactivates under certain d riv ing
d
conditions.
For ex ample:
z If the vehicle speed drops below app rox .
40 km /h (25 mph), or
z If the b ra ke p edal is depressed, or
z If the clutch pedal 3 is depressed , or
z If the automatic tra nsmission 3 selector
lever is in N, or
z If the traction control asp ect of the
Electronic S tability C ontrol (ES C) comes
into a ction, to limit wheel spin.

Resuming the stored speed
Press the c
app rox . 40 km/h (25 mph); t he speed
selected before cruise control was switched
off is resum ed.
The value of the stored speed is deleted
when the ignition is switched off or the
e
button is pressed.
