ES C N ot Rea dy control indicator
The c ontrol indicator illumina tes in yellow
for approx. 4 seconds when the ignition is
switched on.
Illuminates to indicate that the system is
not ready for conditions to opera te.
May illuminate in cold conditions. I t should
exting uish when the vehicle warms up.

Switching off
Control indicator J illuminates in y ellow for
approx. 4 seconds when the ignition is
switched on.
With ESC active, if wheels are slipping on
wet, snow y or icy roa ds, engine sp eed may
not increase when accelerator peda l is
depressed . The v ehicle may not m ove.
Turn off ESC function to allow engine rpm
to increa se, by pressing button J . C ontrol
indicator J illum inates in the instrument
panel.
The ESC func tion is turned on aga in by
pressing button J aga in (control indicator
extinguishes) or the next time the ignition is
switched on.
