Automatic zoom
When the automatic zoom function is
active, programs broadcast in "wides-
creen format" (such as those in the 16:9
format) are expanded to fill as much of
the screen as possible.
If this function is inactive, the format of
such programs is not adjusted automati-
cally.
AV program position
AV devices have one or more connection
sockets, depending on the model. The
designations of these sockets are marked
on the device (e.g. AV1).
On the AV device, you can select which
socket you want to use. The selected
socket is shown on the display of the AV
device (e.g. A1 for socket AV1).
Motion compensation, movie
"Motion compensation, movie" improves
the picture display for black and white
or cinema movies. Motion becomes
smoother and a more three-dimensional
picture appearance results.
Motion compensation, video
"Motion compensation video" improves
the picture display for studio recordings,
e.g. the news or documentaries.

Picture position, vertical
With widescreen films, subtitles are some-
times transmitted in the black area at the
bottom of the screen. You can move the
picture upwards on the screen to ensure
that these subtitles remain visible.
Picture profile
Standard: Compromise for all applica-
tions
Sports: Setting for sports stations or sports
programs
Brilliant: Setting for animated films, DVD
players and Blue Ray players
Games: Preferred setting for recordings
from game consoles
PC Monitor: Preferred setting for recor-
dings from a connected PC.
User: Your self-configured picture profile
Code
The settings for the childlock function are
protected by a four-digit code: you can
enter any desired code, but you should
note it for future use. If you have forgotten
your code, please consult your local dea-
ler.
Dyn. image sharpness
The "Dynamic image sharpness" setting
facilitates an automatic increase to the
sharpness of the picture in the event of a
low level of sharpness.
