IBM AIX (Version 3.x)

When installing the print server in the spooler of an AIX system as a
remote printer, you must enter a print queue, a host name, and a
logical printer into the '/etc/qconfig' file. In this section, installation
by means of the SMIT Administration Tool is described.
The following entries are required for the installation:
Box in SMIT
Name of QUEUE
Destination HOST
Name of QUEUE of remote
server
With print servers with several physical printer ports, the logical
printer is used to address the port. For more information, please read
the section 'Logical Printers' in the user manual.
The print server is known to the network via its IP address, see:

Proceed as follows:
1. Log on as root.
2. Start SMIT.
3. Select the following menu commands in the order shown below:
'Devices'
'Printer/Plotter'
'Manage Remote Printer Subsystem'

'Remote Printer Queues'
'Add Remote Queue'
