Installing the J2300 Services Router

WARNING: DC-powered J2300 Services Routers are intended for installation in a
dedicated equipment room where they are accessible by trained personnel only.
You can install the J2300 Services Router on a desk, on a wall, or in a rack. The
J2300 Services Router includes mounting brackets that support either wall or rack
mounting, and rubber feet for desk and wall mounting.
Install the J2300 Services Router as appropriate for your site, with one of the
following procedures:

Installing the J2300 Services Router on a Desk

You can install the J2300 Services Router on a desk, table, or other level surface.
The router is shipped with rubber feet in the accessory box. The rubber
feet are necessary to stabilize the router on the desk.
To install the J2300 router on a desk:

Position the carton so that the arrows are pointing up.
Open the top flaps on the shipping carton.
Remove the accessory box, and verify the contents against the parts inventory
on the label attached to the carton.
Pull out the packing material holding the router in place.
Verify the contents of the carton against the packing list included with the
router.
Save the shipping carton and packing materials in case you later need to move
or ship the router.

Turn the chassis upside-down on the desk or work surface where you intend to
operate the router.
Attach the provided rubber feet to the bottom of the chassis, as shown in
Figure 40.
Turn the chassis right-side up on the desk or work surface.
