1.3 PRELIMINARY INSPECTION

Receiving

After unpacking the FP5/GP5:
· Verify that the part numbers on the drive nameplate match the num-
bers on your purchase order or packing slip.
· Check the unit for physical damage which may have occurred during
shipping. If any part of the drive is missing or damaged, notify the
carrier and your Saftronics representative immediately.
· Verify that all internal hardware (i.e. components, screws, etc.) is
seated properly and fastened securely.
· If the drive will be stored after receiving, place it in its original pack-
aging and store according to temperature specifications on page 8.
