■ Mounting the transceiver

D Using the supplied mounting bracket

The unversal mountng bracket suppled wth your trans-
cever
allows overhead or dashboard mountng.
• Mount the transcever securely wth the 4 suppled screws
(5 × 20) to a surface whch s more than 10 mm thck and
can support more than 5 kg.
• Mount the transcever so that the face of the transcever s
at 90° to your lne of sght when operatng t.
CAUTION: KEEP the transcever and mcrophone at least
1 meter away from your vessel's magnetc navgaton
compass.
NOTE: Check the nstallaton angle; the functon dsplay
may not be easy-to-read at some angles.
