Weather Channels - Icom IC-M504 Instruction Manual

D U.S.A., international and Canadian channels
The IC-M504 s pre-programmed wth 57 U.S.A., 57 nter-
natonal and 61 Canadan channels. These channel groups
may be specfied for the operatng area.
q Push [CH/WX•DUAL•U/I/C] to select a regular channel.
• If a weather channel appears, push [CH/WX•DUAL•U/I/C] agan.
w Whle pushng and holdng [H/L], push [CH/WX•DUAL•
U/I/C] to change the channel group, f necessary.
• U.S.A., Internatonal and Canadan channel groups can be se-
lected n sequence.
e Rotate [DIAL] to select a channel.
• "DUP" appears for duplex channels.

D Weather channels
The IC-M504 has 10 pre-programmed weather channels.
These are used for montorng broadcasts from NOAA (Na-
tonal Oceanographc and Atmospherc Admnstraton.)
The transcever can automatcally detect a weather alert
tone on the selected weather channel whle recevng the
channel, durng standby on a regular channel or whle scan-
nng. (p. 56)
q Push [CH/WX•DUAL•U/I/C] once or twce to select a
weather channel.
• "WX" appears when a weather channel s selected.
• "WX ALERT" appears when the Weather Alert functon s n
use. (p. 56)
w Rotate [DIAL] to select a channel.
