In redundant (mirroring or RAID) configurations, defective memory
boards can be replaced while the system is running ("hot plug"). The
relevant procedure is described in the operating manual supplied with the
server.
This manual describes how to replace memory boards when the system
is switched off.
The system board provides slots for four hot-plug memory boards, each of
which can accommodate up to four memory modules. Two memory modules
("1A/1B" or "2A/2B") make up one memory bank (see
