Print Engine Operations and Adjustments

The print engine can perform the following operations via commands from the
controller board in the printer:
Mechanism initialization (Reset operation)
Printing
Automatic paper loading
Page feeding
Feeding paper by 12.7 mm (1/2 inch) (line feeding)
Paper output
Automatic paper parking; automatic paper retract
Paper folding (with optional power paper stacker)
Supplying of toner
Emergency stop
The print engine can perform the following tests and adjustments via commands from
the controller board in the printer:
Setting the LED strobe value
Setting the image density
Setting the standard positions (X0, Y0) for horizontal and vertical paper scanning
Setting the print starting position (X, Y)
Setting the paper length (from the top edge to the bottom edge of one page; the
length between paper perforations)
Setting the waste toner bottle alarm level
Setting the toner density monitoring period
Setting the drum surface potential target value
Setting the developing bias DC component
Communication test
