ADJUSTING HEADLIGHTS
MASKING HEADLIGHTS
Correct headlight adjustment is very im-
portant for vehicle and traffic safety. The
adjustment should therefore only be
done with a special appliance.
The headlights are adjusted from the
front through the grille with a Phillips
screwdriver.
The illustrations show the adjusting
screws for the right headlight. The screws
for the left headlight are symmetrically
opposite.
A - Lateral setting
B - Vertical setting
Turning screw to right lowers the
headlight beam.
When the vehicle is used in a country
which drives on the opposite side of the
road to the hpme country, the asym-
metric headlights will dazzle oncoming
traffic.
To prevent this, the wedge-shaped sec-
tor on the headlight lenses must be co-
vered up with an opaque adhesive strip.
The illustration shows the strip installed
for the change from right hand to left
hand traffic.
