1 - Lighting switch

The headlights only work when the igni-
tion is on. When the engine is being
started, the headlights are switched off

2 - Emergency lights
When the emergency lights are on, a
warning lamp in the switch flashes as
The system also works when the ignition
is switched off.
3 - Heated rear w i n d o w *
The heating works only when ignition is
on. When heater is on a lamp in the
switch lights up.
As soon as window is clear, switch ele-
ment off. The reduced current consump-
tion helps to reduce the fuel consump-
tion - see also "Driving economically".
4 - Fog l i g h t s *

- fog lights
Second detent - fog and rear fog lights,
or only rear fog light.
At the second position a warning lamp in
the switch comes on.
The fog lights work only with the side
lights (ignition on), low or high beams.
The rear fog light works only with the
fog lights or with the low or high beams.
The use of the lighting described at 1, 2
and 4 is subject to local regulations.
