13.4 TROUBLESHOOTING CHART
SYMPTOM

start the scan.

modes do not function.

PROBABLE CAUSE
No channels memorized.
Squelch is not adjusted.
Proper operation not
followed.
Low battery.
Audio volume level is too low.
Key Lock is "on".
Proper operation not
followed.
Squelch is open.
DSC SCAN is "off".
MMSI number is not
programmed.
Internal GPS receiver is "off".
Poor location for GPS
satellite reception.
Defective battery FNB-121LI.
Receive a DSC call.
REMEDY
Enter desired channels into the
transceiver's memory. Refer to
section "6.10.2 PROGRAMMING
SCAN MEMORY".
Press the
key and press the
key until the "
pears. Further adjustment of the
squelch control may eliminate in-
coming signals.
HOLD down the
16/9
the
key.
Charge battery. Refer to section 4
of this manual.
Press the
key and press the
STROBE
key several times.
Turn the Key Lock to "off". Refer to
section 5,

Turn the DSC SCAN to "on" in the
DSC Setup menu.
