press the PTT switch and call the other vessels you
desire to communicate with.
7.7.4 RECEIVING A GROUP CALL
1. When a Group Call is received, the HX851 will produce a ringing alarm
sound and the display shows the Group name or Group
MMSI.
2. Press any key to stop the alarm.
3. Press the
channel.
4. Monitor the channel for the person calling the Group for a message.
5. If you want to respond, monitor the channel to make sure it is clear, then
press the PTT switch and talk to the calling ship(s).
After a Group Call is received, the time the call was made and the ships
MMSI or vessels name will appear on the display.
