2.6 Changing Switch Mode ,IBP Mode and EHM

The PRIMERGY 10GbE Connection Blade 18/8 boots up with EHM in default*1.
You can change the mode to Switch mode or IBP mode by the boot-system mode
command. After reboot, the PRIMERGY 10GbE Connection Blade 18/8 boots up
with the mode specified by boot-system mode command. *2
Change mode to switch mode
# boot-system mode switch
# reset
Change mode to IBP mode
# boot-system mode ibp
# reset
You can change back mode to ehm
# boot-system mode ehm
# reset
You can check current mode with <show system information> command.
*1 EHM is supported in V03.00 NYxxxx firmware. V02.00 NYxxxx firmware doesn't support EHM.
In V02.00 NYxxxx firmware, default mode is switch mode.
*2 If your PRIMERGY 10GbE Connection Blade 18/8 is running with V02.00 NYxxxx and you'd like to
use EHM from now on, please follow the procedure below.
<Procedure>
1) Update the firmware from V02.00 NYxxxx to V03.00 NYxxxx
2) Power Cycle the connection blade
By Reinsert Connection blade or Reset Conenction Blade via MMB
3) Change the mode to ehm
# boot-system mode ehm
# reset
4) Login EHM
Login EHM with admin for login name and w/o password (just enter [Enter] key for password)

Password:
5) Reset EHM
# reset clear
6) Login ehm
Login ehm with admin for login name and password.
Login:admin
Password:admin
