Power-on/off the Main Unit

This section describes how to turn on and off the main unit.
3.2.1

Power-on

You can power on the main unit either manually or automatically.
(1) Manual Power-on
You can manually power on the main unit using either (a) the operator panel or (b) the
SMC.
a) Power-on using the operator panel

Turn on the power switches of the SMC and peripheral units.
For information on how to power-on the SMC, see the manual supplied with the
platform.

Set the mode switch to the required mode.
The operation of the main unit after the power-on/off varies depending on the state of
the mode switch.
