Uninterruptible power supply

You can use an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) for power holdover. Select an UPS that meets the
holdover power capacity that you need. The UPS must provide surge protection for the G650 Media
Gateway.

CAUTION:
The major alarm contacts are designed to be connected ONLY to an UPS that can indicate
that it is on backup power. For most non-Avaya UPSs, you should not use the major
external device leads.
