Configuring the Advanced Settings
The Gigaset SE365 WLAN checks if there are other radio services around (e.g. military)
and which channels they allocate. Channels allocated by other radio services are not
provided in order not to disturb them. This only applies to the 5-GHz frequency band
and is country-specific.

Activating and configuring WPS

Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) makes it easier to establish a wireless network. Devices
equipped with WPS are able to create and synchronise an SSID and a WPA key (pre-
shared key) automatically. For further information, see section "WPS" on page 7.

In the Wireless Network menu, choose WPS Registration.
ì
Choose the desired Registration Mode:
– Push Button
Click OK to start WPS registration.
This function corresponds to pressing the registration button on the device's back
panel (see page 13).
Access point operating mode: When WPS registration is started, the device
searches for a WPS client in range. A WPS client in range that activates WPS reg-
istration within two minutes gets the Gigaset SE365 WLAN security data (SSID
and pre-shared key) and will thus be registered. The registration progress is
shown in the window.
Repeater and Ethernet adapter operating mode: An access point in range is
searched for, whose WPS function is currently activated. If any is found within two
