INSPECTION AND MAINTENANCE

Spark Plugs
When spark plugs go bad, the emission of harmful exhaust
gas from the engine will increase and it will run inharmoniously.
Air Cleaner
You must inspect the air cleaner element very frequently and
replace when necessary. You may clean the element by blow-
ing dust from inside towards the outside using a compressed
air gun.
Fuel Evaporated Gas Control System
You must inspect the Evaporated Gas Control System for any
leaks, clogs and damages because they may be discharged
into the atmosphere and act as a pollutant.
When the canister filter gets clogged, it may disturb the vapor-
ized fuel gas passage and will not function property.
Catalytic Converter
The catalytic converter converts harmful exhaust gases to the
human body such as Carbon Monoxide, Nitrogen Oxide and Sul-
fur Oxide into non-toxic gases such as Carbon Dioxide, water
and Nitrogen. This component is the most important in order to
satisfy the exhaust gas regulations, so please observe the
cautions.
When you don't follow to these cautions, the catalytic converter
can overheat or get damaged and will have the overload. This
may reduce purification efficiency and cause environment pol-
lution and may even cause fire in extreme conditions.

CAUTION
Use unleaded fuel only (for gasoline vehicles). When you use
leaded fuel, the converter will not function properly.
Maintain the engine at its optimum condition. When fuel, ignition
and electrical system malfunctions, the converter will get
overheated and will get damaged.
When you experience power drop, abnormal noise, difficulty to
start the engine and noises from the exhaust system, have the
vehicle inspected at our designated inspection center.
Do not drive the vehicle with not enough fuel. The fuel shortage
can cause flame in the engine and the converter will get
overloaded or damaged.
Do not stop the engine while driving. When the ignition system is
turned off, unburned gasoline will leak into the exhaust system
and cause the converter to get overheated and damaged.
Do not over speed the vehicle. It will overload the catalytic
converter.
Do not drive the vehicle with the catalytic converter uninstalled.
Have it inspected regularly.
Do not touch the catalytic converter or other components in the
exhaust system when the engine is running. You may get a burn.
Do not place any inflammables near the exhaust system. It may
cause fire.
