INFANT AND CHILD SAFETY

Child Seat
Children that are too small to use the seat belts must be prop-
erly secured in a child restraint system.
Please note that the three point seat belt is designed for a per-
son who is taller than 140 cm.
WARNING
Do not place a child restraint system in the front seat. The infant or
child could be severely injured by an air bag inflation in case of an
accident.
Use only the qualified child restraint systems. Follow the
manufacturer's instructions for installation and use of the child re-
straint systems.
Do not carry your child on your lap while driving. You cannot resist
against the impact pressure in an accident. The child could be
crushed between you and the parts of vehicle.
Remember that a child restraint seat left in a concealed vehicle can
cause it to be very hot. Check the seating surface before putting
your child in the child restraint.
When your child restraint is not in use, store it in the trunk or keep it
secured with a seat belt to prevent it from being thrown forward in
case of a sudden stop or an accident.
Never leave children or old persons unattended in a concealed
vehicle. When the inside temperature increases very high, they may
be in danger.
When installing a child restraint, do not let the seat belts come across
the child's neck.
