Maintenance and Trouble-Shooting
Problem
You have entered the wrong
pass-word for mailbox reception.
The number of pages entered
does not match the actual
number.
The pressed key has no function
programmed.
The toner or drum cartridge are
not installed properly.
A wrong paper size is fed in the
multi purpose tray.
Too many locations were en-
tered for relay transmission.
The selected command cannot
be carried out because the scan-
ner is in use.
The selected command cannot
be carried out because the feed-
er is in use.
The selected command cannot
be carried out because the print-
er is in use.
The selected storage place for
the polling document is occu-
pied.
The selected mailbox contain at
least one document.
Too many files in one group.
Too many locations for a broad-
cast transmission.
The fusing lamp is defect due to
condensed water in the ma-
chine.
The machine is busy or warming
up.
The machine cannot switch to
fax mode while copying from the
multi purpose tray.
At least one speed dial number
or one-touch key has been en-
tered twice for a broadcast trans-
mission.
Communication is set to "recep-
tion only" or the machines are in-
compatible.
Solution
Enter the correct pass-word.
Check the number of pages and
try again.
Press the key with the desired
programming.
Install the unit correctly.
Place the correct size in the tray.
Enter the max. 10 locations.
Wait until the scanner is idle.
Wait until the feeder is idle.
Wait until the printer is idle.
Wait until the polling is finished.
Delete the corresponding docu-
ment.
Store no more than 40 files in a
group.
Enter the max. 5 locations.
CLEAR ALL
Press
to delete
superfluous locations.
Make several copies. If the prob-
lem persists, contact the techni-
cal service.
Wait until the machine is ready.
Wait until the copying is finished.
Delete the double entry.
Set the communication to "trans-
mit" or "receive / transmit".
